Dear Friend of Companion Animals,
Thanks to the support of our members, donors and volunteers, this past year was another successful one. The SVHS receives no funding from the National ASPCA or HSUS. We are totally dependent upon
your generous donations that have enabled well-established programs to continue. Spay/Neuter surgeries offer healthier lives for numerous pets whilst significantly reducing unwanted births,
especially in areas where pet overpopulation is rife. As funds allowed, we offered assistance for sick and injured pets in need of veterinary care.
Volunteers who have devoted countless, precious hours to answering phones, fund raising events, joining pet assisted therapy, and much more make it all possible. Their dedication to animal welfare is
truly admirable.
Many, like me, founded the society almost 30 years ago, and we've worked hard to make it the highly respected organization that it is today. But now, we need your help. We need fresh, enthusiastic
newcomers to invigorate and stimulate the society and to become our potential successors. The work is rewarding and important. As a volunteer, you have a direct impact on the health and well being of
countless pets. It's a great place to put your ideas into action, and the time commitment is at your discretion. So, please give it some consideration and call us if you'd like to volunteer, or if
you want more information. We invite you to share in the future of the SVHS.
Best regards,
Vivien Frankland
